1. Do Jonix devices have contraindications?
Jonix devices have no contraindications, the important thing is to follow the instructions, size the device well and check the technical manual. 

2. Are Jonix devices ozonizers or ionizers?
Jonix devices are ionizers, they differ from ozone in that in NTP technology there are many oxidizing species which, taken individually, never have concentrations that are harmful to the organism, unlike ozone which is not compatible with the presence of people. 

3. What are Jonix devices?
Jonix devices are active air sanitising devices. They use an advanced form of ionization called Non-Thermal Plasma. 

4. Do the devices have detectors that indicate air purification?
The devices do not have detectors that measure the air quality, they can be purchased, there are many on the market, and we suggest installing them inside the environment. Having sensors on the device would misinterpret the perception of abatement which always needs to be measured at a distance from the device, as the escaping air is certainly sanitised. 

5. Who manufactures Jonix devices?
Jonix devices are completely made in Italy. The components come mainly from Veneto and Lombardy. They are made by qualified suppliers to Jonix specification. 

6. Will they still be useful after the Covid-19 emergency?
Of course, the Jonix devices will be very useful at the end of the Covid-19 emergency, they will in fact guarantee the quality of the air inside all our environments, purifying and sanitising them even from volatile organic compounds and excess pollutants present in the environments. 

7. Do the devices make noise?
Jonix devices are silent, you can hear a slight buzz which is the expression of the operation of the product. 

8. I have a public space: can I use your devices?
The use of the devices in public places or professional environments such as hairdressers, beauty salons or bars will reduce the risk of spreading airborne diseases. This is not to say that people in your environment will be completely free from the risk of contracting diseases, however the risk will be greatly reduced. 

9. Can I leave the device on all the time?
Jonix Cube can remain in operation constantly, the important thing is to pay attention to the correct sizing of the equipment. It is therefore necessary to set the intensity in relation to the size of the room. 

10. How do I figure out which device is best suited to my needs?
The most suitable device for industrial needs requires the intervention of qualified personnel, so we ask you to contact our authorized dealers or directly to the company. 

11. What are the three marks on the display?
The three marks on the Cube device correspond to three possible timings of the ON/OFF cycles. To understand the correct level of use, it is necessary to see the square meters of the environment to be sanitised: level 1 up to 20 m2, level 2 up to 50 m2 and level 3 up to 80 m2. 

12. If I am cooking, at what level should I keep my Cube?
If you are cooking and want to eliminate odours quickly, you can keep it constantly at level 3. 

13. When do I need to replace the generators?
The autonomy of the plasma generators is approximately 8000 hours (i.e., between 18 months and 4 years in relation to use) of actual operation. The device will indicate both the need for periodic assistance and replacement. 

14. If I have an allergy to dust and pollen, can it help me get better?
Jonix devices and NTP technology can also be a valuable help for people who have respiratory problems and suffer from allergies to dust and pollen.
In fact, the ionized air attacks the polluting molecules, breaking them down and the microorganisms, causing them structural and functional damage rendering them inactive (biocidal and virucidal action).
The powders, therefore, thanks to the action of the ionizer due to the effect of the Non-Thermal Plasma, aggregate, becoming larger particles, which weigh more and fall to the ground. The dust falls on the floor and is biologically inert (it does not carry microorganisms or substances), just vacuum it up while you clean.
You get sanitised air free of viruses and bacteria and this allows you to reduce the overall symptoms of people with allergies.

15. I recently bought a Cube device and there is an unpleasant smell when I turn it on, how come?
At first, a slightly more intense odour is normal, it is linked to two main factors: the generators and the plastics of the device are new, this can lead to an odour in the initial stages of the appliance that can be annoying at first, but these are not harmful but only annoying factors. Just keep the device on at a lower power or open the windows to ventilate the room and the smell will disappear within 10 days. What remains will then be only a slight odour of ionization that resembles something clean and will indicate that the device is doing its job. 

16. Can we buy generators from you?
Generators can be purchased directly from us or from our dealers. 

17. Do Jonix devices require maintenance?
The maintenance of Jonix devices requires routine and preventive maintenance.
Routine maintenance needs to be done more frequently. For this maintenance, it is necessary to remove the generators from the device, remove the external mesh that surrounds the generators, clean the generators with a damp cloth, wash the mesh with water, then everything must be dried and reassembled inside the device. Preventive maintenance involves the replacement of the generators.

18. What does it mean to sanitise with Non-Thermal Plasma?
Sanitising with Non-Thermal Plasma means continuously decontaminating and sanitising the air even with the presence of people and during work activities.

19. How is Jonix different from other systems? 
The plasma that is generated by our devices has the ability to hunt for pollutants, it is therefore generated in the environment and decontaminates from microorganisms and volatile organic compounds present in the air. 

20. What technology does your product use?
Jonix devices continuously sanitise the air and surfaces of indoor environments through Jonix Non-Thermal Plasma Technology, an advanced form of ionization, activated by special generators developed within Jonix Lab, our scientific department. And they are protected in their uniqueness and effectiveness through special patents.
Jonix Non-Thermal Plasma Technology is a no-touch sanitisation system guaranteeing a continuous sanitised environment for the entire operating time of the devices, minimising the recolonization of the environment, unlike one-time remedies.

21. What is NTP?
NTP is a physical phenomenon generated at room temperature, it uses air as a gaseous mixture transforming it into an ionized gas consisting of various electrically charged particles: electrons, ions, atoms and molecules that collide with each other producing oxidizing species, the reactivity of particles causes oxidation phenomena capable of breaking down volatile organic compounds, bacteria, microorganisms and odours. The activated air is composed of "excited" molecules (Reactive Species) that attack the polluting molecules, breaking them down and microorganisms, causing them structural and functional damage rendering them inactive (biocidal and virucidal action).
Ions in nature are produced by solar radiation, by the friction of winds on the earth's surface, by thunderstorms, rains and atmospheric events, by the absorption of cosmic rays, by the collisions of corpuscles equipped with kinetic energy.
It is considered a safe process for oxidizing and breaking down pollutants and can be sized according to sanitisation needs. 22. Does your product filter?
Within our product range, only the Mate line also has air filtration systems. The other products have the Jonix Non-Thermal Plasma Technology as their main technology, an advanced form of ionization, activated through special generators that allows air sanitisation. The Mate line, on the other hand, is also equipped with air filters, we use rigid pocket filters that allow you to catch even fine dust. 

23. What does it mean to reclaim?
Reclamation is a punctual activity that is carried out in a relatively short time but that freezes the situation at that moment, it does not guarantee a sanitising activity over time. 

24. It effective against COVID?
Jonix devices are effective against COVID-19: The Department of Molecular Medicine, directed by Andrea Crisanti, has subjected the Non-Thermal Plasma technology present in Jonix devices to laboratory tests to verify their virucidal activity.
The results obtained show that the device (Jonix CUBE - Non-Thermal Plasma technology), appropriately used and sized, acts against SARS-CoV-2 (the so-called Covid-19), with a reduction of the viral load up to 99,9999%.
To ensure maximum precision and accuracy, the test was performed in compliance with the UNI EN 14476:2019 standard "Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of virucidal activity in the medical field - Test method and requirements (phase 2, stage 1)" and the UNI EN 17272: 2020 standard “Method for disinfecting indoor air by automated processes - Determination of bactericidal, mycobactericidal, sporicidal, fungicidal, yeasticidal, virucidal and phagocytic activity”.
